‘IM’MANGALISO’ ECHOS ANOTHER MUSIC ANTHEM THAT IS TO BE LOVED AND APPRECIATED ACROSS DIFFERENT BOARDERS

JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA – ‘IM’MANGALISO’ ECHOS ANOTHER MUSIC ANTHEM THAT IS TO BE LOVED AND APPRECIATED ACROSS DIFFERENT BOARDERS

‘Im’mangaliso’ emerges from the fusion of two distinct musical heritages, crafting a remarkable sound that resonates with us all. This song is the creation by the Nigerian music genius and 2025 Grammy Awards nominee, Jay Synths, who has collaborated with his fellow countryman, Ayo Maff, alongside MaWhoo, Ticozet, and Sami Kay, to produce this masterpiece.

Despite the kind of sound he has to deal with in music, Jay Synths does not appear to falter. While he is widely known for Afro Beats songs that he has created with the likes of Burna Boy on ‘Born Winner’, Flavour on ‘Big Baller’ and more, ‘Im’mangaliso’ is a 3-Step dance song, delivering his diversity and range as a music producer. The song has been produced with one of South Africa’s rising stars, Ticozet. To better define its sound, songstress MaWhoo, along with Sami Kay and Ayo Maff, forged an agreement that is unrivalled. Composing a song that is easy to sing along to, and to resonate with.

In Nguni, or rather, Zulu, the song’s title refers to the song’s call for a “miracle”. It is powered by wonderful key drums, piano keys, and African percussion that will make you want to dance or sing along. MaWhoo, Ayo Maff, and Sami Kay also express gratitude in the lyrics for what God, the universe, or a higher power has given them. The collaboration highlights the artists’ prowess in music. Making a fan to experience a variety of emotions simultaneously.  With the result of Nigerian and South African artists being on ‘Im’mangaliso’, it can be marked as a crossover song that unites these two nations once more.
